I for one am in full support of Otaku Box shorts so we can try to get rid of the low effort AI slop out there!
I've also wanted to make shorts before but I'm just too rambly and can never contain my thoughts to a 3 minute time limit

I also need to cover more OELVNS on my channel. I occasionally get review codes/offers and some of them look really good but I'm always like in the middle of 5 different projects at once and would feel gulity accepting them and not getting a review out in good time

That would be dope! Any particular OELVNs you'd wanna make videos on? Or are you thinking like ong big OELVNs video where you briefly go over a bunch of different ones and why they should be considered real vnd alongside Japanese ones

I get not liking them, or finding them lackluster due to their lack of budget/resources (even if I think those are shallow reasons not to like them)- but let's not act like companies like Studio Ela'n aren't making visual novels...

Cuz before ZLS I also thought most/all idol anime was generic/dumb
...but I was also a lot more shallow/vain when it came to media back when the first season of ZLS came out

I mean at the end of the day to each their own after all but I can say I'm certainly glad I stuck with Zombie Land Saga past it's initial whacky episodes and came to appreciate what makes idol anime good...and sometimes even better when done with zombies-

I feel like the idol genre kinda like iseaki is really only viewed in broad strokes/stereotypes (although maybe not as bad) and because of that people miss out on some really great/compelling stories...just because they happen to be idol anime.

Also I started reading the Gaiden manga and it's a lot of fun! Def not as memorable as the main show but it's fun seeing such a different side to this setting/story that I've only viewed through an "idol" lense. And it's got Tae! And she speaks!

Even if idol shows aren't your thing, I highly recommend checking Zombie Land Saga out.
It's an idol show at its core, there's no sign about that, but it does so much with the genre and its conventions to make something truly unforgettable...and dare I say, legendary.

I really hope the movie isn't the last entry in the Zombie Land Saga franchise. Given I personally don't know what else to do with all these characters at this point, but man I need more of them.

The ending concert of the second season had me grinning like an idiot. Visually it's just impressive and really sells the scope of the concert and its venue, but it's such a satisfying/full-circle moment for everything that's led up to this point...and then FREAKING ALIENS APPEAR-

Like at first it's kinda batshit crazy and feels like satire (never in a mean/bitter way, in a fun way) but after a certain point it just...becomes a really great/unique idol show. I love the characters and all their arcs, insecurities, and dynamics with one another.
