Seen earlier today, posted feet from where someone was abducted dash’n’grab-style less than 24 hours previously.

A paper sign, posted on a metal utility pole; an autumnal tree is in the background. It seems newer and fresher than the signs both above and below it on the pole, which are tattered.

Agents fired pepper balls into a crowd of about 75 protesters Saturday evening and several arrests were made. Steve Held, a Chicago man who describes himself as an independent journalist, was one of those arrested.

Last Thursday I went to a Chicago Walgreens and was denied the latest COVID vaccine; pharmacist looked at screen for 10 minutes before telling me they didn’t know why it was such.

No such issues today at CVS. In and out swiftly with minimal hassle.

I cannot begin to say how much at this present moment I don’t really care to discuss the nuances of judicial warrants vs. administrative warrants.

What I do want is to see politicians who I helped elect putting their body between immigrants and masked fascists and making clear this is unacceptable.

Brad Lander physically put his body on the line to protect a person being targeted by ICE goons, and this was the result. He’s an elected city official and mayoral candidate, but he’s also a good person. If every elected Dem showed that kind of bravery, we’d be in a much different position.
