Considering getting a reliable, cheap, like say $3K beater and taking it on a road trip across the country, and then just junk it at the end.
I won't have to worry at all about getting rock chips in the windshield or any of the anxieties that come with car ownership.

I know my car's really old with scuffs and dings, but it's garage kept and runs well. I only drive around 7000 miles (sub 12000km-ish) a year, maybe even less, so it's not as if I spend all that much time in it.
When it dies, I'll probably get a used car.
Let someone else eat the depreciation hit.

Since I was so obliviously bagged, I begged off driving my friends to the airport, and hucked my car keys at my brother.
...Who proceeded to get into a fenderbender on the way home (small mercies). Entirely unavoidable, no injuries, just my 08, 100K mi, V6 Altima needs fixing (waiting for bodyshop).

Owaitaminute, I'm seeing the problem here.
Google image search brings up PR photos of generally evenly sized Hawkins nuggets.
Not so in real life.
The sizes are all over the place.
The small nuggets are practically hardened chunks of salt and corn starch. My mouth is watering at the thought.

I'm not familiar with those, so my opinion's kinda worthless.
I did see some photos, but Hawkins has really wide size disparities and serious crunch, esp tiny nuggets.
There's gotta be a snowbird out there who's sampled both to provide an informed opinion.

These things are Canadian snack crack.
They're crunchy hard, loaded with salt, exotic chemicals & food coloring, and uneven in shape and size.
They are nothing like the wimpy packing foam Cheetos.
My JP friends were shocked by the saltiness, "I can't taste the cheese!"
They bought some to take home!

A lovely JP family stayed me with the past week.
Though it was nice to preside over a wholesome family tableau, I am also gassed from playing nice.
I introduced them to N.Am ultra-flavored fare like supermarket cookies and Hawkins Cheezies that are unsubtle in their brutal sweetness and saltiness.

Oh, it is.
It uses a blast of compressed air to propel half a corn cob for several hundred feet with a loud "pssh" and solid recoil.
It's exhilarating in a dumb way.

Toshie found a $5 ticket for three corn cannon shots.
He was too shy to give it to some stranger, so I found some young British tourist couples and gave it to them.
For $7, you can also use the much larger barreled pumpkin cannon.
But the corn cannon's cheaper and more fun.
It's loud and impressive.

Daughter Kei, dropped in the other night.
She comes in hot, giving me a one-finger salute with her ring finger with a rock on it.
I'm like, oh, cool, about time.
They're disappointed by my oh, OK response.
We had a nice visit with mom.
