FFS will this obsession never end? If a few trans people get counted in a way ‘they aren’t allowed’ who cares? Also as there are about equal numbers of trans men and women, data will balance out however you look at it. We are killing the planet and will find any stupid excuse not to stop, it seems.

She will be correct: I don’t like this and I won’t like what follows. More baffling is why Labour have voluntarily just laid down and died, when they have a majority and are only 18m into a term. If Reform is inevitable might as well do whatever you want right now while you absolutely can.

Why don’t they also write ‘a biological female’ every time they mention MF? I think she’d love it given her work. Won’t sound like creepy, othering bullshit at all. In fact, every name in any article should be followed immediately by the phrase ‘a biological female /male’. v. affirming for a cis.

Just because some people have horrible opinions, doesn’t mean it is a debate. You can find people holding gross opinions on other races, religions, sexualities… but you don’t go looking for them and invite them to comment constantly. And if you do that , it’s you who is creating the ‘debate’.

She conflates trans people and drag either through ignorance or intentional malice. Silly. No doubt she is aware she looks like a bigot and that makes her uncomfortable, so now the campaign is to make it forbidden for colleagues to criticise her, thus proving she isn’t a bigot, as ‘everyone agrees’.

Trans people have no voice in this. It’s a big bun fight between cis people who’ve (mostly) self-appointed as experts and the point of it is to establish their view as ‘right’. The debate is ‘should we allow trans people to exist?’ But they do exist, and they have to listen to this shit constantly.
