Europe isn't immune to the same type of manipulation. Recent development isn't exactly comforting. But you are more or less the only liberal democracy beacon left now. Better not mess up...

As a software engineer myself, feeling everything can be infiltrated makes me overloaded on security. It would be extremely cumbersome to be too paranoid about devices being compromised for example. Maybe that leaves a blindspot. Turns out you can hide in the real world.

He is also so young. Sighs.

Immediately uniquely determined the McDonald's. "Anonymous-looking" lmao.

"The Second Amendment guarantees our inalienable rights to shoot school kids and intimidate protestors. No, not against the CEOs who (coughs) show monetary appreciation for politicians every now and then to kill people for profit with impunity."

Never been so proud of my major.

Yes. The best you can do is play by the rules and hold the government accountable. There is no use lying or gaming the system. We can only hope that the jury is composed of reasonable citizens. If there isn't enough evidence though, a conviction is avoidable.

If you genuinely believe that the prosecution has not met their burden of proof based solely on the evidence presented in the court, you must acquit. At a minimum, this would result in a mistrial. The prosecutors would have no recourse unless you lied during voir dire (and even then).

You must be sad to learn that Hitler killed himself. What senseless coordinated attacks that cornered him!

Being an engineer doesn't mean you have good opsec. That his plan mostly worked is quite impressive. Everything had been smooth with no collateral damage.

We should write him in as the next President. We can start raising money anonymously now. Right, Chief Injustice Robert?
December 10, 2024 at 4:02 AM
Which specific one? I haven't seen any written sources on that. Though it has been practically revealed by the news crews live streaming there.

You are a fucking genius. Of course, the electoral college has been an integral part of our democratic institution. Getting rid of it would be racist and really hurt transgender people's participation in our society. ;)

Clarence Thomas would manage to make a double jeopardy exception somehow or make killing evil executives a federal crime. Something, something. Exactly as the Founding Fathers intended, thou shalt not have adequate healthcare coverage.

Mr. Thompson’s sister-in-law, Elena Reveiz, said she was still processing the news of his death. “He was a good person, and I am so sad,” Ms. Reveiz said when reached by phone.

The same wishful thinking and selfishness that elected Trump, again...

Russia and North Korea just showed us you can very much send soldiers to die for evil agendas with virtually no compensation to themselves today. All you need to do is repeat brazen lies all day long and require absolute loyalty in any significant position. It just works, I am afraid.

If MAGA nuts had memory, they would have remembered how Trump mishandled COVID. Anyhow, I hope we can have some success playing "I told ya" this time.
November 20, 2024 at 1:52 AM
That would be insanely funny. More reason to make Bluesky a "liberal echo chamber" by the way. Nobody wants to get sued for MAGA nuts' death threats.

At this point, I would believe most people simply vote randomly.

I was simply noting that a blanket pardon could be granted and would probably work, contrary to the comment I replied to. It doesn't necessarily make sense to do so.
