A UK govt acting to block democracy is actually quite a serious accusation. They are forced to explain themselves. It highlights the absence of any good reason for their behaviour. Votes may be denied in a time of national emergency such as war but clearly that doesn't apply.

No arbitrary polling rules which are plainly designed to block another referendum. That's not democracy.
Oddly, the #EUref went ahead when Leave were behind in the polls.

The idea that a referendum must be won in the polls before it can be held is not democratic. It ignores the effect a good campaign can have to win people over.

This is all so pointless. It doesn't matter what language you try to use in the next referendum. Yes/No has been firmly established in people's minds. They'll continue to use these terms. There will be T-shirts saying "Still Yes!"
You can't change that and there is no need to anyway.

I'd like it if people would say more clearly there isn't a war. They're probably not even drug smugglers. But even if they were smuggling is not war.

To be fair that building does look very similar to the US Institute of War Crimes and Corrupt Presidents. It's very easy to get them mixed up.

I suppose this is his idea of "leadership": dead-bat any questions about Brexit with "the settled will of the British people" until the public mood shifts and it appears to be safe to introduce the idea of change.

But why contribute to group if group will not also deliver for the individual? Hence fairness is fundamental rule of cooperation along with empathy trust respect
