Fine, let’s allow billionaires and pass a law that no one person or organization can spend more on political contributions or personal charities (combined) than they paid in taxes the previous year. Makes all fines a percentage of annual income.

Reduce the value of their wealth in other ways.

Your exact quote: "Consumers love it."

I'm not going to waste my time playing semantics with a stranger on the internet.

It is a part of sales, but it’s not enjoyable in lots of situations. No one loves car dealers, for example. People dread appliance shopping. They know they will be hit with pushy sales and upsells.

This isn’t a secret. No one is like, “I’m so glad they offered me the protective sealant on my car.”

Upselling is NOT dynamic pricing, but this is still going to make the Google experience worse. This is death by a thousand cuts via “do you want an extra charger for your new laptop?”

You’re correct that upselling ≠ dynamic pricing, but saying consumers love it is a stretch.

For example, when I worked at GameStop most customers did not like being pushed reservations and magazine subscriptions with their purchases.

I loved the Apple Adjustable Keyboard. By far the best keyboard I ever owned.

If I didn’t have to move between devices frequently for work I’d still be using a split keyboard of some kind.

To be clear: my congressional rep holds regular phone conferences with us. She makes plenty of public stances against what is going on. She makes sure constituents know what services she can offer, even during shutdowns.

This is not a time to be milquetoast.

Okay, then refuse to vote for anything. Pull a Newt Gingrich and broadcast speeches from an empty chamber. Meet with constituents (directly or virtually) with voracious frequency while on recess. Start campaigning on worthwhile reforms.

Don’t just pout and shrug.

Didn’t stop Republicans from being obstructive during Obama and Biden’s terms.

Even if Johnson refused every Democrat request, Ds can say no to all and hold up procedure. They’re weak and cling to a method of civics that Rs will not follow anyway.

Let Rs be the villains they so clearly want to be.

Yet again @durbin.senate.gov acts against the best interest of his constituents.

He doesn’t care. He would do less damage to this country if he retired.

if you joined ICE I don't think you just get to melt back into society ever again. I think it should be the albatross around your neck for the rest of your life. I sure as hell won't hire anyone who worked for ICE. hope that signing bonus lasts

ChatGPT can help with that, but I don’t recommend it.

And if you kill section 230 we won’t be able to talk about it online, so maybe think about what you’re voting for.

The year is 2003. I’m 17 years old. I’m watching Democrats fail to appropriately oppose an illegal war for oil.

We must pass Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s War Powers Resolution that asserts Congress' authorities, and Trump must be impeached. 2/2
