Just been through Postman’s Park which is a beautiful garden near St Paul’s Cathedral in London. It contains dozens of extraordinary tributes to selflessness which is still occasionally added to.

Yesterday I went looking for hibernating insects. This forest was a bit too wet, dead wood on the ground was completely soaked. However, a large standing up tree stump had this beautiful common wasp queen 😊 Leaving dead wood standing is important for many insects. @wespenstichting.nl
