A collective #CuntOfTheDay for every member of Congress who played politics to allow the basket of deplorables and evil doers to take over our government. Hegseth, RFK Jr., Gabbard, Habba, Miller, and Vaughan. Every one is there because Congress knew and allowed it anyway and now people will die.
I firmly believe that our country’s original sin was slavery. Our second sin, which is a through-line to today and especially this week, was never holding the Southern insurrectionists accountable after the Civil War.
Hopefully, when all of this is over, history will NOT repeat and will NOT rhyme.

At least they FINALLY admitted why they refused to negotiate on the shutdown. First they lied and promised Dems they would “negotiate” this, but only AFTER they voted for the CR. But Dems were correct when they assessed that Republicans NEVER intended to extend these subsidies.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.
The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.
They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.
