Ever grab an interesting looking CD off the shelf at Goodwill, fall in love with it, find no information on the internet about it, hunt down the people in the credits to ask them about it, and discover it’s actually even cooler than you thought?

I keep forgetting about Bluesky. There’s been a bunch of things published since my last post. A Skycamefalling ‘10.21’ retrospective interview, and an interview with Unfortuneteller among other things. Something cool coming this week too. Maybe follow along here if that sounds appealing to you.

Delayed post. Edition number 3 of the 25 in ‘25 series is now up on Lambgoat.com. This one covers ‘Figure Studies in Arsenic and Tears,’ the great EP from Rochester hardcore band, Break of Dawn. Weirdo, proggy, technical metalcore from 25 years ago. Check it out.

As part of my 25 in ‘25 series, I interviewed members of ISIS regarding their monstrous debut LP, Celestial. It is hitting its 25th anniversary, and the band members dig deep in their memories to tell the story of it.

I interviewed Ray Harkins of Bloodguilt regarding their debut EP. Bloodguilt is a new band featuring members of Taken, Focused, Project 86, and more. The record brings to mind 90s hardcore groups like Unbroken, Strife and Judge…and it absolutely rips.

I interviewed Daniel Wallenborg of Swedish post-metal band K L P S (formerly stylized as Kollaps\e) about their new self-titled record. Highly recommended if you like things like Breach and early ISIS. It comes out Friday, but it’s out there streaming in the world today, so check it out. It rips.
