The unit is trashed from the ceiling/wall damage and all of our movement of furniture, but here’s an exterior shot to give you an idea of the extent of the flooding that occurred. Our evicted neighbors snapped the water line to their washing machine in half and told no one the unit was flooding.

We’re supposed to be at the jockstrap party at the Eagle right now, but instead we are drying out our apartment from the unit that flooded upstairs. At least the bedroom is dry. 😭

And Cashew’s puppy shawl is done!! I made sure to block this one RS up this time 🙄. I hope he loves it! 2 shawls down, one to go! I just love this yarn so much! Gonna miss working with it.

Something very nerdy happened tonight. And we regret nothing. Well, I guess I regret losing 2 out of 3, but the rest of the ordeal was quite fun. Floods are the worst. Woulda had him on that third game otherwise.

Definitely not my finest work, but it works, so I’ll work it. Machine sewing is a whole new beast, but I love how quickly you can work a project. I present a round bottom draw string bag to hold my working yarn. Maybe this will keep the Cashew hair out of my knits.

Okay, I think I’ve narrowed down my NYE outfit options down to three and it took a long time to bring it to these. …but now I can’t decide which route to go. Any votes yall wanna throw my way would help. The pant is a 501 style. They’re the only leather pant that fits anymore. The rest are too big.

Loving this pattern! Things got a little hairy, and not in a good way, some rows back, but I think I recovered it nicely. Either way, I’m happy with it. 😀

Cahew’s other Christmas gift. He likes a car ride buddy, so now he has a stuffed capybara to squish on his trips around town. The last one got lost at pride last year and he is so happy to have a new one.

The cables are cabling! As a tight knitter (I’m learning to loosen up a bit…in life too) I think the Norwegian purl is the secret sauce driving my success this time. It forces you to loosen the tension between your knit and purl stitches.
