this is really making me think about a “type of guy” compared to like…”metal bootleg rarities guy.” like instead of “Cannibal Corpse 1993 Seattle rare live vhs rip” they are looking for “First Methodist of Kansas City praise and worship band special music 04.22.03.FLAC”

hell yea! honestly i lucked into reading it in an absolutely brilliant little streak- Bonding right into Negative Space into Amygdalatropolis into Burn You the Fuck Alive and i think i’ll be chasing that high the rest of the year 🫨

i just have to say that i adore this book so, so very much. maybe my favorite short story collection of all-time. i cannot recommend it enough and i am foaming at the mouth for more of Maggie Siebert’s writing.

i do both because i am crazy. i will turn up too far and reflect on all the stupid things i said until 3am. then i will also look back on all the stupid things i could have said and also feel wistful for a little too long. i think it is maybe like a functional merger of my online and offline flavors

yea idk as someone who was rly deeply shy and quiet growing up i feel like i have…functionally regressed in terms of “outward maturity” lmao but i think it’s the same reason i never bother with great grammar online anymore- gotta be profesh all day otherwise, might as well do the opposite elsewhere

Crescent City is her most recent series and is kind of a "best of both worlds and then some" vibe when compared to her other books imo. kinda just kicks everything up to 11 - violence, smut, absurdity, etc. they are great but i'd rec the others first? despite these being my objective faves.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is her most popular series, i'd guess. high fantasy smut, basically? idk it's good, i would say it has higher highs than Throne of Glass for me (so far) but Throne of Glass is more consistent / better protag.

ACOTAR is definitely more romance forward if ya dig that.

if you are down for kind of bombastic-sometimes-bordering-on-fanfic fantasy, SJM is definitely my fave in the genre.

Throne of Glass (this series) is probably her most...straightforward fantasy series as the romance takes a bit of a backseat to the action and stuff (so far at least).
