Truer words have never been spoken, AAA's are so blind to the community at this point and its just upsetting. There's maybe a handfull of good teams now who still care and most of them are solo-dev/Indie, or smaller studios.

Never said it needed to be... Personally right now I think Indie is the way to go 100%. Big corps want one thing, and that's profit! This game would 100% have to be a passion project for everyone involved. As a musician, and as a fan of the music from that era, it wouldn't be done justice by AAAs.

I totally think with the right pitch, like if I refined the idea a little, and explained it a bit better I could totally get it to stick in an executives brain. Cause I just wrote this based off of your desire for more Funk in like 15 minutes.

get better shows, upgrade your gear, hire band members, and settle disputes with social interactions in the style of a BioWare game (Mass Effect, Baldur's Gate, etc) where every decision or action you make affects the world around you. I think that would sell but that's just my idea. ( 3 / 3 )

Oooooh imagine a game based in the 60's/70's funk and jazz eras. You could start out as a solo funk/jazz artist who sings and plays piano or guitar with an element of gameplay that allows you to actually make songs for your characters repertoire, with original music samples... ( 1 / 3 )

Genuine question, I imagine you don't mean games like GTA where it's mostly gang related or violence focused, but something more positive. Cause I'm definitely behind more actors of color having leading rolls, I'm just interested in your idea for a character/story.
