The Kremlin probably can’t believe its luck.
Russia’s military is having a lot of trouble against smaller Ukraine, and has lost a lot capacity. Its GDP is smaller than EU member Italy, or US state Texas.
Yet all they needed was racism, corruption, and a means of propagandizing Westerners directly.

I kind of wish we could have video of the meeting where somebody pitched "Ok, this will sound insane but hear me out... what if we created a peace prize and give it to him! He'd love it and take it so seriously. Fool proof idea!"

* I dunno, maybe there's a more apt comparison as far as countries Hitler invaded. But you get my drift.
Putin invading Ukraine definitely fits. But that hasn't triggered WWIII, so the comparison has to be Hitler.

Yeah. I get it, America has done bad things in that 80 years. But this war... there will be no actual justification for it. No moral claim whatsoever.
