I prefer what the movie's going for SLIGHTLY and think it'll be a better fit for the long haul but I still love that first season for highlighting the cynicism in a job and life that's biggest purpose is to serve corruption

The closest thing to this I know is Spawn but it should be done more bc it's too cool an idea
(They're gonna have to pull the other cliche line of "You'll just be as bad as them if you do it")

There's a handful of stories where I can see letting the antagonist live be a more fitting end but by and large these stories got their bad guys doing some pretty unforgivable stuff and I want to feel like I'm in a character's shoes so that heelturn just disappoints when it shows up

when it comes together in a way that's actually intriguing and fun like I had with a few new things this year it's actually on par or better than some old classics. I wish companies just kept developing those tools/engines and got an influx of creativity instead

Nah I know, and as good a game as it could be I don't think it objectively deserved the kinda recognition for every single category but at the same time this is literally the same show that had Catly and Schick Hydrobot so I care more about the awards bringing attention than any actual prestige
