Simple DMX512 Controller using an Adafruit Feather nRF52840 using mechanical encoder. Future plans are to get the high res magnetic encoder connected and implement Bluetooth LE receive in the C/C++ firmware.

There’s not much to it. This micro doesn’t support two stop bits on the UART, so I used a timer interrupt and some shifting to generate a clean DMX serial signal. This M5 Stack DMX plug is isolated and 3.3G and $6, which rocks!

This weekend I bit-banged DMX to gradually ramp up stage lighting in brightness and across color temperature to make a light alarm clock for those overcast days. Used a Seeed nRF52840 XIAO board.
