The point I am making is that the article talks of identifying as. Which to me is different from being. You don’t hear gay people saying “I identify as gay” but “I am gay”.
So while I totally support the right of trans people to a happy life why do you call me transphobic when I am using the 1/

All I am saying is most is not all. Always rejected the idea you can “become” gay(you know the old stupid argument). A few exceptions don’t change reality.
Now apply the same reasoning to women/men/DSD etc.

The answer is to ensure that a child doesn’t do anything irreversible. Adults can assume their own responsibility.

That’s interesting. I actually thought one was born heterosexual or gay not that one could become. Puts a different spin on a lot of stuff though, don’t you think?

I will read it. However if the 1% is my child, it is 100% tragic and I would prefer to avoid that possibility

Read my first post and you will see that is exactly what I am saying. Support in enabling them to live as they want but be very cautious about anything irreversible. But you are not interested in a debate, you immediately go on a defensive (offensive at times)

Bc I know only too well the consequences of long term medication. And I am living with young grandchildren and I see how they change from year to year. Not a wise move to take irreversible decisions at this age. Experiment as much as you want with what can be changed at a later date.

I never said they don’t exist. I am just pointing out the various routes to live a happy life. So my question would be “what can you do as person of the opposite sex and how can I facilitate you to do this?” But I would not agree to medication while they are minors.

It was starkly put and it could have been done better. But, as a mother and grandmother, I would explore at length the reasons why a child wants to embark on a life of medication. Not just affirm. Bc I love my grandchildren.
