The last couple did, then it slowed down after a streak of below freezing weeks. The green is still alive and kicking, though.

It's our first year with them, but they are definitely cold-hearty and I'm expecting them to fill out the space we gave them over the years. It's nice having a pop of green in between the morning frost, too!

These squash beetles will make fishnets out of my gourd and melon leaves every year. I use the hatred in my heart for them to physically squish them, but also recommend a handheld vacuum if you want a less gross experience. You can also try a quick grab and drop into a jar of soap water.
