Can totally recommend the #wendelsteinrundfahrt if you are looking for a non-competitive cycling event. We did 120km and plan for 165km next year. It's challenging but they have food stations along the way.

Does your motivation to train ever fade? I've been thinking about the different reasons we do sports, and I've put them into a simple pyramid. From "no pain" to "body-shaping" and "competition," I'd argue the top level—experience—is the most powerful of all.

Ran the SportScheck RUN 2025 Half Marathon... phew, the last kilometers were tough. Still, compared to last year's run, I was able to improve by 10 minutes... one year ago the challenge was to complete the run :-)
