Yes, this person is disturbed by the diversity of options, but the reason is not that now they feel as an outcast. The reason is that before, they were the default, dominant option, and now they are just one of many, which for them means losing power. It's always about power.

I don't dispute that. Right wingers will vote right. But my feeling, not based on research data, is that parties like Reform, MAGA or Milei's LLA, contain an element of rebellion in them, as in "if the system doesn't work for me, let it all go to hell". This isn't just traditional right wing voting.

This and other forms of social suffering are part of the problem, but seems to me there's an unquantifiable yet essential cause of the shift rightwards: disappointment and humiliation caused by the betrayal of social democrats and the failure of democracy to provide hope for the future.

Inside each one of us there is a little Nazi. Most of us manage to keep it under control, but some people will unleash their inner beast if they perceive that it no longer carries a social sanction, as a way of venting some unconscious grievance, or to earn some advantage, consciously or not.

Not sure this is a good comparison. Children aren't born hating difference. Hating and bullying are learned. Gay and trans kids know who they are without anybody teaching them.

It really doesn't matter. Musk's problem is not intellectual, it's moral and emotional. He's convinced of his own superiority, he believes he can and should thrive at other people's expense, that it is all a game and winner takes all. No amount of books can change that.

The distinction of gender and sex is only a didactic device. In practice, as Judith Butler explains, it's all gender. Of course there is a material dimension to the body independently of how we conceive it, but we are incapable of thinking about sex without imbuing it with gender.

Give some thought to the two meanings of the word "sex". Sex means 1, The reproductive process, which in humans requires two different gametes etc. 2, A way to classify individuals according to their capacity to reproduce. This is non binary, as many people aren't binary male or female.

But that's the gist of the matter. Transphobes insist on treating an issue as binary when it is clearly not, so there is no way to stop contradictions from cropping up. Also they oversimplify, as if the only relevant parameters are biological, ignoring political, ethical & social implications.
