Rewatched the Angel City match, & it’s amazing how much more dynamic & fluid the attack looked after Press & Zelem entered in the 73rd & 68th min respectively. Both chance creation & xG went up.

Only one (1!) Angel City player was in a + position to receive passes on Saturday night. Indeed, ACFC was the worst performing NWSL team this weekend by that metric. Sam Laity had a measurably negative impact on the team during his tenure. Straus has serious work to do.

Moved this bubba off the highway in the Glasgow Bottoms about 1/4 mi away from the Missouri River. It’s a common snapping turtle, which is commonly seen on the move this time of year in search of new habitat. Telltale 3 rowed top shell was about a foot across. Bubba did NOT like being moved.

The latest turtle I’ve rescued from the roadway was this male 3-toed box turtle on Hwy 41 in Arrow Rock, Missouri. You can tell he’s male from the predominantly red head.

The other turtle saved today is a Blanding’s turtle. To ID a Blanding’s, look for the yellow chin/neck. He was a buddy.

I saved 2 more turtles today on a 2-lane county road in Callaway County, Missouri. This is a young box turtle.

Glad I flew in to watch a CP23 goal. Spectacular to watch in person, & the rest of her shift showed how impactful she can be both on & off ball in attack. She needs more minutes. Savy situation pretty traumatic in the stadium. Sorta reminded me of how I felt watching Frida Maanum last yr.

Newborn meepers on the farm. I named them Bygul & Trjegul (technically, they’re the wrong colors, but they’re barn cats, so I’m not really going to get worked up about it).
