Its a slippery slope. Scheduled send can help avoid it being too slippery.

Approx. 3 days to process application, and then it is valid for 2 years.

Stripe. It keeps it together with everything else. Its also easy to set up recurring billing for credit card level retainers.

Now pardon my rant whilst I go and check the sites I'm responsible for...

Further - whilst direct malice is obviously not being suggested it does have a good chance of being tied to organisations that dont care. Specifically dont care about disability testing and do care about hiring the lowest and fastest bidder.

Its typically the site making the assumption that A) a particular font is in use, and B) that font starts at 16pt. They then use em to scale the font and px to size elements. The result is normally overflowing elements which can cause flow issues on other elements. It hard to see a backend issue.

1. Name and shame!
2. What's your res and how big do you have it?
3. bbc.com works fine for me at sizes which break dailymail.co.uk. Is it a quality filter?

Four days out of action later I'm back up with what I can say is the best laptop I've ever had. Lenovo X1 Carbon G10.

Lessons learned? Small remote companies should have hot spares. Overnighted or collect from (1.5hr away) office. Much cheaper and faster for everyone. Planning beats pressure. 8/8

Laptop won't boot. This has gone from an annoying issue to my stupidity. I bail on the presentation last minute, dumping it on an under prepped colleague. I overnight a new laptop. And I work out how to explain putting a 12mm long screw in a 4mm deep hole. 7/n

Next day.

I've been out for nearly 12 working hours and people are asking questions. When the battery arrives I've got 15 minutes until a presentation. I rush reassembling the laptop. I think a screw is cross threading. I retry. I retry. I force it. And I've just put a screw through the mobo. 6/n

My day is spent fielding sporadic calls and working out how to dispose of my spicy pillow. I end up taking it to the pressure sales company Currys, who are confused, give me a £5 voucher and definitely don't handle it with care. 5/n

Now I remember the call I was on. I call back in from my phone, make my apologies to bemused colleagues, send instructions to handle work without me, and inform my line manager I'm partially out of action.

I sit back and order a replacement battery. Nearly £100 with overnight shipping. 4/n

I'm not exactly sure of what to do, but I know this is bad. I run the laptop outside to some garden gravel, holding the power button to switch it off.

I sit watching the laptop. Nothing happens for minutes. I grab some screwdrivers and gingerly unscrew and unclip the case, removing the battery. 3/n

2 years ago I was on a slack call when I notice my case is slightly unclipped. Maybe 1mm. I push it back in.

10 minutes later its unclipped again, 1mm. I've now got video on, so I do nothing.

20 minutes after that I jump into a meeting I'm leading and look down. 5mm!

Panic starts. 2/n

Its a multi-disk affair. One of those fancy jewel cases with plastic "pages" and a fancy popping mechanism in the middle of the disk.

That, and a mini manual, and a hundred insert cards advertising everything else you need.

> Sanofi said that ThisMamaLife (Instagram) had a small and niche following which was unlikely to influence a medicinal decision taken by a consumer.

So why did they pay for the ad?!

What a toxic company!
