I know and few do. WRT plastics at least if it is contained to minimize micro dispersion I will feel better. Whenever I get berries and throw out that clamshell it bothers me.

I have looked at my blue bin for a decade with a feeling of incredulity. IMO REDUCE matters more than recycle by orders of magnitude. IMO plastic recycling is BS because are so many plastics types that cost so little to make. If someone can implement a scalable bioreactor I'll believe again.
