Ok! I kind of assumed it was something negative because of the notoriety of that game, but can definitely relate to being tempted by familiar things

In comparison, the best I've seen so far (for me) was a Skyrim mod called "The Frozen North", which focused on positive reinforcements instead of punishment.

Basically, if you adhere to your needs, eat and sleep on time, you get a buff. If you don't, you can still play!

I feel like (from memory) one of the worst implementations of this I've seen was in Fallout 4, which made it so that you actually can't save without going to bed!

All I wanted was more immersion...

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but what are you referring to about the development? Were they using their own, unfinished engine or something similar?
