What is sad is the NRA used to work with the Government on gun regulations. This changed in 1977 when a confederate minded dipshit engaged in a hostile takeover. Flipped it 180.
The idea of "2nd Amendment == Unfettered Gun Rights" is less then 60 years old. (Even our founders banned concealed guns)

Gun control needs to happen, full stop. Even the founding fathers passed laws restricting access to them. But this all or nothing mindset isn't going to work well.
