A crisp autumn morning in That London. Loads of folk wrapped up like Arctic explorers whereas I, down from the Pennines, am shedding layers as soon as I step off the train 😥
Taxis parked outside Kings Cross Station with a view of St Pancras on a bright blue day.

At 694 metres (2,277 feet) Pen-y-Ghent is 1 of the 10 highest peaks in Yorkshire. The name is believed to originate from the Cumbric language (similar to Welsh). Pen-y-Ghent likely means “Hill on the Border”—pen meaning "head" or "top", and ghent possibly meaning "edge" or "border"

A scenic rural landscape featuring a prominent hill with rocky outcrops and patches of green vegetation, set beneath a clear blue sky with wispy clouds. In the foreground, frosty grass and shrubs cover the ground, and a traditional dry stone wall runs horizontally across the scene, adding a rustic element. The overall atmosphere is serene and crisp, evoking a cold but peaceful morning in the countryside.

Giving the opening remakes at a global online panel today and of course all my usual anxieties and self doubts kick in (every fkn time). Hoping this run helps calm the mind..

I went #Chough hunting with a new friend, to the Deer Park, on the #Pembrokeshire coastal path today. We got lucky with many sightings of my all time favourite bird. So here’s a #painting of mine to mark the occasion. What a fantastic day!!!

Dot watchers, Elsey Davis is on the final stretch of her #Cornwall perimeter run, heading towards the finish at Lands End. Currently on the coast path between Mousehole and Lamorna, which I recall requires the legs of a giant to get over some of the boulders.

Woke up with leg pain - hip to knee to calf 😩 - and I’m not good at enforced rest! It didn’t hurt when I was running in the woods 🤷‍♂️
Just turning to autumn in the woods..

Despite the wet and windy weather, or maybe because of it, I had one of those moments of pure elation* on this run

Brilliant 🙌 I am steeling myself to do the same but the headwinds in the Pennines are insane!

'Our public libraries are free in three critical senses. Firstly, they cost nothing to join and to use. Secondly, they are open to all in our communities. We must also add a third concept of freedom: the freedom to read – to engage, without restraint, a diversity of knowledge and opinion'.
