I don’t know how an LPC fed govt led by a banker doesn’t grasp the math of it all - China, African continent, EU, AP are ALL looking at this through the lens of cheapest form of energy & hydro.
LNG & oil sands are two of the costliest, w/ nuclear being the costliest.

By hyper focusing on an in existent pipeline, much as the conversation around carbon taxes was manipulated, we are losing an opportunity to educate and investigate ALL the other projects.
