Virtual mother in law has been here for TWO WEEKS already. She’s spent the day watching TV whilst we’ve been working, then she’s selfishly spent all evening watching a film she could have watched whilst we work tomorrow. I’ve had no evening whatsoever 😠😠

I find myself feeling incredibly irritable at this time of year. The short days, cabin fever, places being shut, overeating, general lack of exercise & daylight. Doesn’t seem to bother a single other member of my household but I personally can’t stand it. Roll on Spring!

If not for the fact that alcohol free options taste way too sweet/sugary/underwhelming to me, I often think I could go completely booze free. I rarely have a drink & later find myself thinking, “Ooh I really enjoyed that alcohol.” Normally it’s “I could’ve done without that.”

This is our third year doing the Icelandic tradition of Jolabokaflod and I have to say it’s now one of my favourite things 🎄 😍 Would be more than happy for the gift giving to end here to be honest. Simple things 🙌🏻

Ah the lovely ‘break’ that is Xmas. Worked up until yesterday. Was up until 1am wrapping presents. Now have an entire house to clean, bedding to change, bathrooms to scrub, more wrapping, pop to shop etc before guests tomorrow. 10yr been sick on the floor. Cat been sick all over. Yippee! 😠

Have to say purchase of our own coffee machine has been one of the best decisions ever. 💯 % . If we had bought the same number of coffees takeaway since 1st Dec, we’d have spent, on average, £108 🥴

I’m so food obsessed I saw someone making homemade beans just now on Instagram and immediately had to make some myself. With the addition of cold pressed chilli oil 👌🏻
