We have the fastest growing membership of any political party because absolutely we want to #AbolishBadThings
We stand for; a Wealth Tax, renationalisation, green jobs, clean air, clean water, fully funded NHS, fight climate change, equality, and more!

The Green Conference was very strong! “Zacktivism” and bold politics are cutting through, read more here:

Billionaires don’t pay taxes anyway! That’s the whole point of trying to tax them! 😂 If they leave are their physical assets (land and building) just going to get up and walk away?

UAE has no democratically elected institutions, no free speech and an appalling human rights record.

Its economy functions on completely different metrics to the ours & ranks well below us for GDP

No serious person would ever think that we should emulate it.

But here's Tice calling us decadent

So the UK must rely on oil money and the exploitation of workers? Because Reform are terminally online they think that the rest of us are too. They think we're living in a world where influencers have convinced us Dubai is paradise.

Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

They did work, but only as well as they were implemented. The better the implementation, the better they work. Norway has a more effective wealth tax because they enforce it. If there is political will and the taxes are well enforced and resourced then they will work.

Has Farage forgotten his own immigration promises?

"Every time a wealth tax is mentioned, one of the arguments against it seems to be that the rich people will leave. Actually the factual evidence points to the contrary."

Our member Guillaume Rambourg speaks to TRT World about France's proposed wealth tax.

Rich white communities are the least integrated there are in British society.

After covering the Green Party conference I learnt a few things about @greenparty.org.uk and @zackpolanski.bsky.social’s effective comms strategy. The Greens have succeeded where Labour have failed. The question is, how far can they go?
Speaking Green: How Labour’s Comms Misfire While the Greens Cut Through
What did we learn from the Green Party conference and what are they doing right?

The BBC’s reasoning for not putting out the Gaza documentary is ridiculous. This is what happens when you put marketing/pr people in charge of an important journalistic organisation.
The BBC can only rebuild trust if it empowers journalists and creates opportunities for a more diverse talent pool.
Why the BBC claims it had “no choice” but to nix a film about Gaza.
Let’s parse their reasoning.

Richest 1% has more wealth than 70% of UK population combined.

Top 20% own two-thirds of wealth, receive 36% of income.

Bottom 20% own 0.5% of wealth, receive 9% of income.

Can't grow economy or have social stability.

Poverty is political choice. Which political party wants to address this?
The government must ensure fair distribution of income

Now more than ever it’s vital that people actually engage with the dangers our democracy is facing. It’s not good enough to ignore politics and hope someone else sorts it out for us. Use your democratic rights or lose them.

The obsession with Greta is disturbing. Seeing someone who actually wants to do good in the world for no financial reward makes them self conscious of their own greed.
