Starting the year with some holiday traditions. A southern one I grew up with was eating black eyed peas on New Year’s Day.
My father gave me a recipe that my mother used for making snowball cookies. Our family would make these together. It made me smile remembering her today.

There was lounge music, dancing, holiday singing, even a trio of opera singers serenading the those in attendance.
They had a raffle & we won a prize to enjoy a dinner at their Chef’s Table. 🍽️

Went to the local zoo & enjoyed their lighted sculptures made for a really eye catching attraction. Their displays guided you along through the zoo & made very effective use of their space.
