I suppose what I was getting at is when cis people do gender it’s fine as it reinforces aspects seen as already natural to each sex, whereas trans people doing gender is seen as unnatural. Gender affirming care in both cases is body modification but one is seen as corrective the other as deviant

People act like they’re anti gender when they’re really just pro conformity. They want “men to be men” and “women to be women” because doing gender is seen as good so long you stay in your lane and follow expectations
