Woke isn't bad
That's the horrible part. One man, no matter how evil, could make this happen. He played on the greed and hatred of half the US population. Too many were closet bigots.

If Diaper Don's mouth is moving, he's lying.
The worst part of this is that whoever gets in next may have to do what other countries have had to do in such a debt - hyperinflation.
They'll devalue their dollar to where it costs a billion to buy a loaf of bread. Then the depression begins.

The list could be whittled down to "men" really.
The lack of core ethical and moral values combined with a sense of entitlement is pretty much the cause of most problems global or individual.

Some, sure. Sadly a whole lot of people who sit smugly and securely in society through good luck and a family safety net.
Facebook will have local news about a shelter opening up, and people I actually know will pipe up with their NIMBY nonsense.

Nobody is asking for a free ride. We're asking that the rich pay their share. We're asking that the regulations protecting renters stop being destroyed to make the rich richer.
A whole lot of us are the working poor. It's not a moral defect. It's an attack on the whole system.

My wife has serious health issues. She has spent a lot of time in the hospital. She once broke her shoulder and collarbone. That alone would have bankrupted me and left us in the street.
I pay plenty in taxes.Gladly. Capitalism is working hard to drop the middle class to poverty to benefit the rich

I'm literally on the edge of homelessness and poverty.
I have a job. I don't drink, do drugs, gamble or have any criminal record. What I do have is responsibility to care for a family with no support base behind me.
If I lived in US and not Canada, my situation would be so much worse.

So many generalizations are made.
They must be lazy. Must be drunk/on drugs/gambling/criminal etc.
First, it's unnecessarily cruel to reply attacking a marginal group, blaming those without any agency with a system they don't like. Secondly, almost all of the comments lack any way they'd fix it.

It doesn't seem to matter the content. So many come out and disparage those they see as inferior due to financial or other shortcomings.
It's shortsighted. It shows a severe lack of understanding of how the west works,or more accurately how it doesn't work.
Every day,more move into poverty.

It's tough going it alone sometimes around the holidays. I hope you find some uplifting things to keep it less gloomy for you.
On the bright side, you don't have any in your house who are annually triggered by all the addiction cues this time of year. My dad was a mean Xmas drunk, it spoils for all.

Trump had amazingly got it right the first time. He started by calling now the "Gilded Age", until someone clued him in that it was what they called the freefall of the world economy right up to the Great Depression.
It was a little too accurate for him, even including tariffs.

From what I'm seeing, they're more duplicating the 70s and 80s hits and adding really dumb lyrics.
More lazy than an homage.
That's ok, because I have a huge library of actual original content from the past to drown out the horrible copies.

Only a demented narcissist would look at that pic and think it's a good look for them.
I miss his first term where he had a few handlers that would keep him from expressing our loud his worst fantasies.

That's an ending I would be ok with. Wife is so scrambled from what genetics and life has dealt her, I doubt a decision like that is possible.

Libertarian?
Seriously - you've got the LLM AI models out in public lying about facts, incapable of adding 2+2, yet teachers are using it to grade students, students use it to cheat. Gen AI used to hire personnel, drive cars, deal with matters of extreme safety and privacy.
You want zero guardrails?

Even when he was siphoning off daddy's money, he was paranoid. Won't be assassination. That's why I don't believe either account. He was brought up believing everyone wants him gone.
It will be a big stroke out of nowhere.
November 21, 2025 at 4:34 PM
I'm worried that the "geniuses" behind the AI craze will be throwing the LLM version into everything. The expert systems that work, I think, are erroneously labeling it AI. More aptly it's adaptive algorithm.
November 21, 2025 at 4:29 PM
There's a really good reason not to trust AI in any system that affects safety. Although expert systems can run filter algorithms that rapidly detect cancers, fold proteins to find unique new medicines, etc. - it also misses obvious errors and can even hallucinate. Its use should be regulated.

I'm happy for you. Maybe someday for me. Right now, I have to see this chapter through to the end, be it bitter or sweet.
November 21, 2025 at 1:32 PM
It is tragic that people aren't using AI to make lives better by removing drudgery. Instead, it seems focused on making songs, composing letters and literature and even movies and commercials.
"I'm an artist!" screams those who send ideas to AI who (poorly) does all the heavy lifting.
