For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 19 I rewatched Snatch (2000) Guy Richie's brilliant comedy drama. A low life sport promoter gets mixed up in dodgy deals in London underworld. A huge cast involved in many twists & turns. Highly enjoyable .

For #MovieChellenge week 19 I watched Crazy Stupid Love (2011) directed by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa, an entertaining romcom with a brilliant cast. Really enjoyed this.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 Week 18 I also watched Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970) a so so sequel to the classic where Taylor discovers mutant bomb worshipping humans living in deralict city, while a survivor of a rescue mission travels to find him, with the Apes tracking him.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 Week 18 I also watched Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) where Peter Sellers bumbling Inspector Clouseau is targeted for Assasination by a French mobster. Another passable sequel to The Pink Panther with some good routines.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 Week 17 I also watched Fall (2022) a thriller about 2 young thriller seekers who get stuck at the top of a 2000 foot rickety tower in the middle of nowhere after a illprepared climb goes wrong. Good show & definitely didn't help with my vertigo. Don't Look down

For #MovieChallenge 2025 Week 17 I watched Black Hawk Down (2001) Ridley Scott's excellent war drama about a failed attempt to capture a warlord by US soldiers in wartorn Mogadishu in 1993. A helicopter is shot down and the planned raid falls apart and becomes a rescue mission. Gripping stuff.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 Week 16 I also watched The Saint (1997) a flawed thriller directed by Philip Noyce starring the late Val Kilmer as thief for hire Simon Templer hired to steal a new energy source but falls for the victim Elizabeth Shue. Entertaining film but not much too it.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 16 I watched Kelly's Heroes (1970) a comedic WW2 film with a bunch of US soldiers led by Clint Eastwood carrying out a Heist to steal gold bullion stored in a bank 30 miles behind enemy lines. Very entertaining

For #MovieChallenge 2025 Week 15 I also watched Taxi (1998) Gérard Pirès action comedy with a mismatched taxi driver and a cop, teaming up to catch a gang of bank robbers, using a souped up Taxi racing around the south of France. Very entertaining

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 15 I watched In Bruges (2008) Martin McDonaghs excellent comedy drama with hitmen Colin Farrell & Brendan Gleeson hiding out In Bruges after a botched job. Mentioned as there's a great scene where their boss Harry has both his phone & wife called f*ing inanimate objects

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 14 I watched Man on Fire (2004) Tony Scott's excellent revenge thriller with Denzel Washington who was hired as a bodyguard to protect a rich guys daughter played by Dakota Fanning in Mexico City, but after shes taken, he sets out to get the kidnappers. Great film

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 12 I watched Life of PI (2012) Ang Lee's beautiful adaptation of Yann Matel's novel, with a young Indian student called PI Patel being stuck in a lifeboat with a tiger following the sinking of a cargo vessel carrying zoo animals. A crazy premise, but well worth a view

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 12 I watched The Dark Divide (2020), Tom Puttnam's low budget comedy drama, the true story of a butterfly expert (played brilliantly by David Cross) on a scientific trek through an American National Park known as The Dark DIVIDE in 1995 while grieving his late wife.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 12 I rewatched Mickey 17 (2025) Bong Joon Ho's SciFi comedy drama, about clones hired to work in space colonies as they are expendable. But as there can only be one of each copy at a time, Robert Pattinson stars as several Mickey's who are illegal MULTIPLES.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 12 I rewatched Godzilla Minus One, Takashi Yamazaki's brilliant monster movie about post war Japan coping with the mega monster. Reputed to be the 2nd best Godzilla movie after the original. Well worth a view on the big screen. Included as it has MINUS in title.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 12 I watched The ADDiction (1995) Abel Ferrara's take on a vampire movie. Lili Taylor stars as a philosophy student attacked by a vampire one night, and then starts craving blood. A nice twist on the genre, but only included as it has ADD in the title.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 11 I watched Cléo de 5 à 7 (1962) Agnès Varda's drama with Corinne Marchand as an anxious Clèo travelling around Paris meeting a varity of people for a couple of hours before going to her doctor to get results of a biopsy. Classic French new wave, really enjoyed this.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 11 I rewatched Lost in Translation (2003) Sofia Coppola's excellent drama with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson as two lost souls meeting and bonding in Tokyo. Such a good film.

For #MovieChallenge 2025 week 10 I also watched Enchanted April (1991) Mike Newells charming period comedy drama about 4 women escaping their gloomy London lives by holidaying in Italy. Co starring the late Joan Plowright in an Oscar nominated performance.
