And it's great, more power to them, i think it's great this sort of thing is revered and that it's easy for everyone to have even more fun with games, and that modding is easier. Just makes me feel old I guess, and fall into the tinfoil brained idea that zoomers don't understand file systems.

Joycons try to fit the bill but they have problems, in that the customization is minimal, and for a lot of them you need to buy new joycons on top of the console. Then there's the limited editions, which are more expensive than the regular and don't even come bundled with the game. Bullshit.

I miss when the device they had personality and the one you'd get would kinda describe your tastes. I had 2 PSP's, all of them Piano Black, but I was always incredibly jealous of this one friend of mine who owned a spiderman edition PSP, just because of the red faceplate (kinda tacky in hindsight).
