Just trying to have civil, sane discussions.
A relatively few Congressional Republicans can stop this national nightmare at any time. Democrats are waiting to help.

What's wrong with virtue signalling? It's a way to let voters know that Democrats oppose the Republican's vices. That isn't a futile gesture, it's hope for many.

I wonder what his answer would be if he was asked "who was more divisive, Trump or Obama?".

It's a plan to throw millions of people off of their health insurance.

This is why our current allies would be fools to trust the US to be a responsible partner now or in the future. At any moment, a psychopath could be elected president and there's a great chance Congress will do nothing about it.

We need to fix our institutions.

Are you really giving the Republicans a pass on responsibility for ICE atrocities?
December 24, 2025 at 10:25 PM
That's some dystopian shit.
December 24, 2025 at 10:01 PM
They need to give more time for the pro-torture side?

The article referenced an essay that kicked off the current discussion, and I think it gives a great argument.

Even in that case I'm still not agreeing to deface the Kennedy Center with Trump's name. We can find a nice spot right near Ivana's grave for a memorial for him.

Thanks, John Roberts.

They forgot the straightjacket.
December 18, 2025 at 7:49 PM
They do lower costs for individual Americans who are receiving the subsidies. Medicare for all.
December 18, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Doesn't this asshole ever have any paperwork to do?
December 18, 2025 at 12:45 AM
He looks like a fool in that gear. I hope they don't let him carry live rounds.
December 16, 2025 at 7:20 PM
The only way the US can hope to eventually restore our democracy is to make sure the Trump administration faces legal consequences for their lawbreaking, and to put in place stronger guard rails to avoid this from happening ever again. I hope JVL is wrong.
December 16, 2025 at 6:59 PM
I'm no purist, but this is just another reason for people to think the Democrats and Republicans are the same. I don't hold that opinion, but I don't think this is a good look.
December 13, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Sorry, you'll have to do better than a passport.

To be fair to America, it's not easy to drive safely while dodging bullets.
December 13, 2025 at 6:09 PM
I remember when Americans thought a country wasn't free if you had to produce your papers to any random policeman that demanded them.

It wasn't that long ago.
December 13, 2025 at 6:04 PM
I think that bombing Venezuelan civilian boats is also an act of war. Maybe Trump is trying to get Maduro to fight back?
December 10, 2025 at 9:35 PM
MTG and Johnson both have a point. To be fair to Johnson, none of the Republican women have done anything to make anyone think they're serious legislators. To be fair to MTG, the same can be said of the men.
December 9, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Right? Reality is not so obvious anymore. It's fucking exhausting.
December 9, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Yeah, this is a deal breaker for me. We need accountability for present crimes and fixes to make sure this stuff doesn't happen again before anything else.
December 6, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Even if they rule against Trump, will this give him a chance to let Trump denaturalize a bunch of brown people until they rule on January 19, 2029?
