There's some strong character work for the Ghoul (Walter Goggins) too. We get some more backstory for him where we learn about his kindness when he was a soldier fighting in the war, which shows how much he has changed for the worse after the nuclear #Fallout

is evident throughout this episode. Xander's death may be a tad predictable, given that Maximus literally states his intentions to kill him earlier in the episode, but the way he is murdered via an axe to the head is extremely effective and a deserving climax for the #Fallout

to those kids, as some of them are nearly burned alive for being Ghouls by Xander (Kumail Nanjiani). Fallout is one of those shows that does extremely well at sticking to its established tone, and the mix of the dark post-apocalyptic world with moments of black humour #Fallout
