Chris inadvertently nailed here why there will never be an Oscar for stunts. "Vin Diesel turns up to collect an award" - that is anathema to the Academy. They do not want to share their stage with that manner of "lowbrow" cinema, and they feel that giving an Oscar for stunts will force them to.

I wondered that no one mentioned Steamworld: Dig at all. The sequel is one of the best Metroidvanias I've ever played. Ability gating, secrets, collecting, bossfights and upgrades, very smooth movement and combat, great gameplay loop and a fun story that makes you care about Steampunk mining robots.

QOTW: This is my answer to the Q a few weeks ago: Ultima, preferably developed under contract by Larian. The setting lends itself really well to the sort of immersive, many-answers, many-paths games that Larian make, no two playthroughs would ever be the same, the PC could be any sort of adventurer.

QOTW: I yearn for a new Ultima game. EA would never, but could you imagine Larian getting their hands on the license and doing the kind of world-ending cataclysm combined with wackiness of Lord British's original vision.

Not sure who could do the Underworld games, but more of those as well please.
