I guess another interesting question here is - the xenomorph is a lethal parasite that has no ecology except to infest and wipe out other species, which captains are willing to do a xenomorph genocide and which ones wuss out

Could argue this one’s easy even for replacement level captains: the embryos should show on a tricorder and the transporter filters should remove them. A couple of redshirts get got and then they lock down the ship and it’s over

Funny story: he pushed for a quality/outcomes research institute at the BI. And he actually got it funded! But they hired somebody else to run it. And so now he works at Google
