I genuinely think the userbase has grown quite a lot purely because of the SteamDeck, so I wouldn't be too surprised if that's the reason.

I've been on Steam 21 years and I've never seen the struggle like this. But I have to say, the number of active users is also way higher than It's ever been before so It's not a massive surprise.
