Typically, Secret Service protection ends for VPs 6 months after their term. Given the circumstances of Harris being a presidential candidate and threats directed at her, Biden extended it to one year. Trump should honor that, but he's too much of a vindictive asshole.

Accusing those who are defending D senators who voted for the CR of supporting Project 2025 is right out of the right wing playbook and only serves to divide us further. There are those who sincerely believe a government shutdown would only benefit Trump and and Musk's Project 2025 efforts.
