Bank balance sheets cannot survive making houses more affordable. Mortgages and RMBS on a bank's balance sheet depends on this 'never go down' price setup. Until we somehow deal with this, we're fuckt. We choose: good # of people live outdoors -- or -- banks shrink their balance sheets?
