2/ parts and too long in others so the pacing was off. The werewolf effects were meh as well. But it had some decent character development and it did make you sympathize with the teenage werewolf. Not the best movie but it was entertaining enough.

2/ spoon feed you the scary parts. A lot is left to the imagination which makes it creepier. We also appreciate that the characters have dimension to them and are flawed. The score compliments the movie perfectly and the voice acting is also top notch. Love it! Thanks for the awesome pick, Nicki!

2/ tension. It gets a little clunky in the third act but that doesn't take too much away from the overall effect. The cast is very charming and it is always good to see Peter Lorre and he is reliably great. We also loved the practical movie magic. A cute and easy movie watch!

2/ worth the journey. Everything is so well done from the practical effects, the score and especially the performances. Filmmakers Michael and Danny Philppou are exciting new voices in horror and we can't wait to see what's next from them!

2/ faces. Devon Sawa especially gives a very committed and physical performance. There is some fun gore and practical effects too. And it wouldn't be a 90s movie without a kickin soundtrack! It didn't find its audience until years later but it has become a cult classic. Good start to this month!
