We don't let these people decline to put their babies in car seats; we require them, and blunt force trauma from a car crash isn't even contagious. If they won't vaccinate their kids, the state should take their kids and do it for them.

Medicine doesn't need to provide "spiritual succor" to these people. The Mennonites who let their children die of preventable measles belong to a church. What they need is a law to require them to get vaccinated.
