Todd McFarlane talks about how 10 people may be more talent than him and he's the 11th guy, but when someone asks for someone to do a job he's the one who speaks up, so he gets the job.

ME: This is actually, super accurate advice. Go for it! Take a chance.

YouTube Music has been recommending me the "Track by Track" version of an album, but isn't that all albums? Was I supposed to be playing every song at once?

Really loved this lettering choice from @joecaramagna.bsky.social in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: TORN #1, as a way of making the lecturer seem boring, like a wall of noise.

I'm sure @badinkstudios.bsky.social would appreciate the choice too.
Two panels from Amazing Spider-Man: Torn #1, where Peter Parker is bored as a lecturer talks about science. The actual words don't matter -- it's just general science talk -- but the text is all framed to the very edges of the speech balloon, like a wall of noise.

"It's ironic how I can tell you're lying, Garfield. But I have been able to tell all along."

There are THREE Jarhead sequels that took the message of the first film -- about the psychological impact that the grim and boring reality of war has on young men -- and replaced it with "Hey, isn't this explosion cool?!"

That your favourite author is TERRY PRATCHETT and you continued on to become the very right-wing leader of the Tories suggests that an English degree may have actually been really useful for you.

Avengers Academy for the exploration of what a young hero looks like.

Kelly's Amazing Spider-Man for what it's saying about Peter.

Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider for some of the interesting places it's taking Gwen, and how it defines the ghost in Ghost-Spider.

(I'm only reading Spidey titles though)

My latest review video is all about Miles Morales: Spider-Man and God War, from @yayforzig.bsky.social's run, and how it reflects what the series has become.

It's a series I enjoy, while wishing there was more of the day-to-day.

Okay, to save the environment, I'm only going to take the puffs of inhaler that I need to live, and cut down on all those frivolous puffs that I've been filling my day with.

As somebody with asthma who uses inhalers - SHUT THE FUCK UP. THIS ARTICLE IS SHAMING PEOPLE WITH A CHRONIC CONDITION.

"Significantly" My ass. You know what else does? AI Data centers - corporations - cows - asphalt - THOUSANDS OF OTHERS THINGS THAT ARE NOT MEDICINE.

Fuck you - fuck you again.
Inhalers contribute significantly to global warming, study finds
Millions of Americans using inhalers for chronic lung diseases like asthma may be unknowingly contributing to global warming, according to new research.

The downside of having a fancy new PC is that I have a PC that can play Hades 2 and that is all I want to do with it.

Jordon Phantomson? Is that anything?

Add an echoy, reverb effect and now you've got Ghost Peterson

If you're wondering whether it'd be your thing though, episode 45 of campaign 2, called The Stowaway, is a really good and self-contained episode that gives a good flavour of what to expect. Also has Deborah Ann Woll!
notquitecool.bsky.social
This is a new campaign set in an entirely different world with entirely new characters. Obviously not Zoe, but would suggest that this latest episode is the best place to start if you're interested.

Tried to watch the latest @shaunvids.bsky.social video about the War on Science, but what is this chess piece doing? Just spreading across squares?!

Literally unwatchable!

(Also, you really want me to believe that a skull could write this wonderful essay? It doesn't even have hands!)
A drawing of a chess board, with a piece that is in-between two squares. Part of the usual image that Shaun uses in his videos.

I imagine that the comments and quotes to this are non-existent. Comic fans are famously shy about sharing opinions.

I cannot express how perfect I found that first session of Critical Role Campaign 4. Just improvisation at the very highest level and characters that I instantly love.

Give me more earnest messy fantasy now please!

Done, done and done. I wish you continued success in making your very funny and fun games.
notquitecool.bsky.social
Lair of the Clockwork God is not just one of the funniest games I've played, but one of the funniest pieces of art FULL STOP. It is a delight from start to finish and is worth it at full price, but now it's significantly cheaper!

Go buy yourself some joy in these terrible times.

Spent the afternoon making comics with my son. This is the kind of talent Marvel is letting slip through their fingers!
A crudely drawn comic called Spidey's New Shield, which sees Spider-Man finding Captain America's shield and declaring himself the amazing Shield-Man. When Cap comes looking for his shield, he instantly recognises... The Amazing Shield-Man and asks for an autograph.
