9/11 and the American response is up there too, but long term I think this realignment is more consequential. It’s a reshaping of Europe, an abandonment of Bretton Woods/globalism and a ceding of leadership from the USA to a more fractured USA/Russia/China model. Next up: abandoning Taiwan.
