A conspiracy theorist would look at this and the record of the program in promoting Nigel Farage when he was a fringe politician and conclude that there was an agenda here.

"Automated" can also mean that the system automatically rejects applications if something is "of concern", however the people writing the rules define it. Also, once the data is captured you have no say in how it is used.

There used to be a notice by the washbasins at 121 that paper towels had less impact on the environment than hand driers, if I remember correctly - but that must go back 6 or 7 years.
