If you call an appliance repair company there's a solid chance that whoever shows up will have no idea what they're looking at when they get there. If they're any good at all they'll fix it on the first or second trip. If they're really good they'll know everything about it by the time they're done.

I currently have very strong "first day of school" feelings because the very small company I work for hired a new guy who starts tomorrow. I'm probably not even gonna see him or talk to him tomorrow but I'm still a touch anxious.

I might be getting a new job! It's probably going to sound arrogant, especially considering I have neither interviewed nor applied for it, but I really think I'm gonna get it. I come highly recommended by one of their 7 employees and I'm told the boss is "excited to meet with me".

Today I went to my first ever appeal hearing with a co-worker, representing ourselves and 6 more. Nobody was in trouble, we just want more money and not to have to deliver picnic tables. We had support from our foreman and a Union rep. I'm trying to keep my hopes from getting too high.

I checked my step count after working a 5K in which I did not participate. Turns out I walked over 10 kilometers. It's like I did two 3 and a half hour 5K's in one day accidentally, which I'm beginning to suspect isn't actually impressive.
