Aw bummer! Maybe I'm just weird, but usually when I read dialogue for a character I tend to attach a sort of internal "voice actor" based on the way the character looks and their vibe, and then I hear it in my head.

Pugsley to me is definitely like a gruff Bostonian (at least in my head), maybe like a duckman type voice? The other pets are harder to place for me.
