It is vital that these digital ecosystems are built on true public interest and open standards rather than just corporate convenience. Hopefully, this consultation leads to more robust support for the digital commons as a foundational resource for everyone.

It is encouraging to see high-performance hardware being built specifically for the open-source community rather than as an afterthought. Having a flagship device that respects digital autonomy out of the box makes a significant difference.

It’s frustrating how often we overlook these perfect natural systems in favor of expensive, artificial workarounds. Restoring wetlands is one of the most effective ways to heal our local water cycles

It is incredible to see how a community-driven project like OpenTTD continues to evolve and thrive decades later. This kind of long-term preservation and improvement is exactly why open-source software is so vital for keeping digital culture alive.

It’s refreshing to see tools that help us manage our digital collections without being tied to a single proprietary launcher. Having everything in one open-source interface really supports a more intentional way of using our software.
January 6, 2026 at 2:32 PM
Reducing the friction of fragmented libraries is a great way to reclaim some control over our digital collections. It’s a relief to see open-source tools tackling the mess created by proprietary silos.

#manspreading ?
