This whole situation has highlighted so clearly how these people have never cared about protecting themselves or their neighbors. They want an open door to murder people they disagree with. They fantasize about the day they can finally murder a trans woman. That's all it's ever been.

The whole thing is so vile. USDA had set forth plans to keep SNAP alive in their shutdown plans, which has since been scrubbed. The shutdown is not preventing SNAP funds from being allocated - they can be allocated during a shutdown. This is an outright GOP attack on Americans.

It's understated (very unlike the music itself), but it's very "Us" in the way I think matters most: we put in extra effort where we didn't need to, where it probably didn't even matter, but we did it with our friends and we did it because it felt right.
